Woodlot Retreat In Woodstock Illinois

We discovered Eugene's place just outside of town of Woodstock Illinois. It's a quaint smaller retreat with a pretty good sized pond and woods with a path thru it
and some open areas to catch that sun.

He has a "dipping" pool inside the bottom floor of the building. Woodlot is owned by an older gentleman whom is a retired police officer. You might stop by and only find a couple people there. We got a chuckle when he told us that he had one rule that had to be enforced......no fighting. Cost was only 25.00 for the daytime visit
on our last stop last fall (2008). Yes, he could use some volunteers to spruce up the shrubs etc. Maybe put a coat of paint on the shelter house/gazebo.
I just may make that suggestion to him that he could perhaps get some of that done with dismissing some user fees. I'd be glad to help out.
