Taking a Closer Look at Oscoda Beaches
Oscoda is a small community located on the northern part of Michigan, next to the AuSable river as in enters Lake Huron. Oscoda beaches are located around this lake and constitute one of the premier vacation destinations in the state thanks to its clean waters, fine sand and, above all, beautiful scenic views away from massive crowds of tourists. One thing is for sure, if nice, quiet beaches are what you're looking for then Oscoda is just the thing for you.
About 3 hours away from Detroit, Oscoda is a perfect destination for all the family. Lake Huron, with its rather shallow waters, makes it a perfect spot to bring your kids while you can relax without having to fight to death for an inch of sand. The area also offers plenty of possibilities when it comes to accommodation: hotels, cottages, camping sites or beach resorts with beautiful views of the lake, you name it, you are sure to find the right place to stay here. In Oscoda you will also find Oscoda Beach Park, located just two blocks away from downtown Oscoda, it offers picnic areas with grills, a boardwalk, basketball courts, a skateboard park and bathhouses. Surrounded by sand and large trees, you and your kids will love hanging out in this great area.
If you're looking for something else rather than just relaxing under the sun, Oscoda also offers a lot of alternatives: whether it is fishing, renting kayaks or canoes to take around the lake, hiking or golfing, you'll find plenty of ways to keep you entertained while you're there. You will also find that, while Oscoda is probably not the hottest night spot around, it will provide you with some nice dining opportunities. Finally, you may also explore some of the areas around or take a tour on the paddle wheel boat that goes along the AuSable river.
Oscoda beaches are a lovely spot to get away from the crowds and the daily stress without having to travel thousand of miles to some distant tropical island. If you're looking for quiet, beautiful beaches and incredible scenery, then make sure to check it out before you book your next trip!
