Mazo Beach, Wisconsin

Mazo Beach is the first nude beach that my wife and I went to. It is a legal beach on the Wisconsin River in south central Wisconsin. We parked in the lot and walked a long hike - about a mile into the beach. Many of the people used bikes to ride in but the walk is level and not difficult (just plan for it!).
Mazo Beach is covered with natural dark, soft sand. On weekdays there may be only a few dozen people. On weekends the beach is filled with people and games like nude volleyball and people throwing frisbees are around. The river, if there has not been a lot of rain is safe for swimming. It can get more dificult when there has been a lot of rain - so check the swimming based on the season!
On a warm day in the summer it is a great place to go and a safe and enjoyable place for social nudity.
