The Best Beaches Jamaica Has to Offer

Some of the best beaches Jamaica has to offer are some of the most worth checking out. Whether you are looking for a quiet, relaxed bit of sand with clear waters or you are more into having some fun and music with a cool crowd, you are certain to find what you are looking for. Here are some of the best beaches Jamaica has to offer:

Lime Cay

This beach is one of the closest to the capital, Kingston, which makes it pretty accessible for most people visiting the country. While Lime Cay is not one of the most quiet, secluded beaches in Jamaica due to its proximity to Kingston, it is still a very enjoyable spot with clear waters and perfect for all kinds of water sports.

Doctor's Cave Beach

This is one of the most famous beaches in Jamaica. Located in the Western part of the island, crystal clear water and golden sand make this spot the perfect place to forget about your daily worries and just enjoy life. The downside: unfortunately you're not the only one who knows about this little piece of paradise so you will find it's one of the most crowded beaches in Jamaica.

Beaches Jamaica Walter Fletcher Beach

This is clearly one of the best beaches Jamaica has anywhere on her coastline. Like Doctor's Cave Beach, it's located in the heart of Montego Bay. Also rather crowded, but definitely your place if you're looking for a cool party vibe. Be advised though, there is an admission fee to enter this beach.

Beaches Jamaica Boston Bay

This relatively unknown spot in the eastern part of the country is one of my favorites. Here you will be able to snorkel, wind surfing or simply relax away from the crowds in one of the best beaches Jamaica has to offer. You will also find a number of vendors offering local foods, and once in a while, music shows take place on the weekends (maybe if you're lucky!).

Hellshire Beach

One of the most popular spots along the southern part of the island, this beach is mostly known by the shows that are held on the weekends. Whether it is a reggae concert or a beauty contest, this place is one of the coolest spots to hang out in Jamaica. Add to that a local vibe and plenty of vendors offering all kinds of delicious food and you are not likely to want to leave anytime soon. There are plenty of beaches in Jamaica where you can have a good time, but this is definitely one of my favorite spots on the island.

Frenchmen's Cove Beach

If you're looking for a secluded, private spot, surrounded by amazing tropical scenery, this is your place! This whole area of the island is known by its natural beauty, and, of course by its amazing beaches. Jamaica has lots of little gems waiting to be found, and Frenchmen's Cove Beach is definitely one of them!
Beaches Jamaica Seven Mile Beach

The name here is pretty self explanatory: this beach is, in fact, the longest in Jamaica. Clear waters, soft white sand and palm trees everywhere make this place one of the most beautiful beaches in Jamaica. Also, if you're up for a walk, you'll find a lighthouse at one of the ends of the beach, don't be lazy and go check it out!

Also, if you want to have a relaxed, wonderful vacation in Jamaica with your whole family, Beaches Boscobel is one of the best resorts in the island. If you want to know more about this luxurious resort, we have a whole page dedicated to it!
